Tens of thousands of people participate in the candlelight procession at night, one of the most awaited moments by the faithful present at the Sanctuary of Fátima

As happens in all the sacred places that we call sanctuaries, Fatima people from all walks of life flock to Fatima to participate in the religious ceremonies. After the blessing of the candles in the Little Chapel of Apparitions and the recitation of the Rosary, the Candle Procession begins between the Little Chapel of Apparitions and the Sanctuary. This is a short journey made by the Virgem de Fátima accompanied by thousands of pilgrims holding lighted candles and singing songs of praise.

Visit the largest Catholic sanctuary in Portugal, the Santíssima Trindade Basilica, inaugurated on October 12, 2007, as part of the closing celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the apparitions of Cova da Iria
2 Chapel of Apparitions

Visit Chapel of Apparitions - it is a chapel located in the grounds of the Fatima Sanctuary. The pedestal where the original sculpture of Our Lady of Fatima is located marks the exact spot where the small holm oak tree stood on which it is believed that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three little shepherds – Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta – on the 13th of May, June, July, September and October 1917
